New Batman trailer features surprising amount of nice puppies

A new Batman trailer has been released and whilst being largely praised by fans and critics, the huge number of puppies featured has come as a surprise to many.

The atmospheric new trailer featured the reading of a disturbing riddle over scenes of Robert Pattinson’s Batman brutally punching someone in the face closely followed by a scene of some twenty or thirty nice puppies all playing in a lovely field.

“I think when anyone sets out to produce a Batman story, in comic, film, or TV show – what you are looking to create is a story of lawlessness and violence in a nightmarish dystopia that features lots and lots of nice puppies,” said director Matt Reeves.

“In the past, I think there have been many Batman stories that have succeeded with the nightmarish dystopian aspect but have really let the audience down with the paucity of puppies.

“We will not be making that mistake; we’ve already got over fifty individual puppy scenes and there are still several more planned to film early next year.”

Christopher Nolan, who made the most acclaimed big-screen version of the caped-crusader, offered his support.

“Terrific to see all the nice puppies in this new Batman trailer,” he tweeted.

“It is the regret of my life that I didn’t include any puppies in the trilogy. Whenever I see Dark Knight, I see the scene at the end with the two boats and I can’t help think how much it would have been improved with lots of lovely puppies capering and romping all over the passengers.

“Nice puppies should always be at the very heart of Batman.”

The Batman will debut in cinemas next year year but special The Batman soft toy puppies will be in the shops in time for Christmas.
