The Suicide Squad sequel now appears to have both a writer and director and even a title.
James Gunn will take on writing and directing duties, and the film will now be known as Suicide Squad 2: Up Yours Disney.
“Yeah, I’m really excited to get on board with DC, and look forward to making a great picture about a colourful bunch of badass misfits out to save the world.
“I’m pretty good at that.”
The director has settled on the title after narrowing it down from a number of different options.
“Yeah, we had a bunch of ideas – Suicide Squad 2: Disney Sucks, Suicide Squad 2: Disney Blows, Suicide Squad 2: Disney is a Bunch of Weak-ass Asshats, Suicide Squad 2: Disney is a nob, and Suicide Squad 2: Electric Boogaloo.
“But, I think that it’s Suicide Squad 2: Up Yours Disney that really encapsulates everything I’m trying to say with this movie though.”
Gunn has denied that the film title has anything to do with his previous employers.
“Hell no, barely even give those guys a thought any more.”
Although the plot of the film is still in development, it is understood that the opening scene will feature Harley Quinn stamping on a mouse.
For some reason.
