Director and King of the World James Cameron has revealed that his number one New Year’s resolution is to finally make a start on that Avatar sequel he’s been meaning to do.
“This year, I mean it,” said the Titanic legend.
“No more procrastinating, 2021 is Avatar 2 time and this time I totally mean it.”
He denied that the so called ‘resolution’ was starting to lack credibility as it has also been his New Year Resolution for the last ten years.
“Yeah, but look, last year, that’s not fair because, look, when it comes to January, resolutions don’t count. You can’t start on a resolution in January, no one does that. Then February, well, that’s really short, and then there was a pandemic. So, 2020 doesn’t count.”
2019 saw Mr Cameron distracted by his shed.
“Two resolutions in 2019. Do the Avatar sequel and sort out the shed. Thing is, sorting out the shed took absolutely ages. Getting all the screws in their little drawer, doing an audit of the tools. Having a sort through those boxes of cables.
“By the time I’d got that finished, it was time for Thanksgiving. Still, I think I deserve credit for completing 50% of my New Year resolutions.”
In 2018, he meant to start Avatar 2 but ended up ‘getting really into’ Killing Eve and never got round to it. In 2017, he got a Nintendo Switch and Super Mario took up all of his time. 2016, he ended up redecorating the guest room which was, apparently, ‘a much bigger job than you’d think,’ 2015, he started a blog and after getting all the website set up, there was no time to start on the film. 2014, he can’t remember but was ‘definitely busy.’ In 2013, he joined a Jazz and Tap dance class, 2012, he overhauled the garden, and 2011, he ended up learning Indian cooking.
This year will, however, ‘be different’ and he will definitely make a start on the Avatar sequel.
Just as soon as he’s finished sorting out his DVD collection, which actually might need some new shelves being built. Perhaps even moving to a different room

Beauty and the Beast fans were left delighted by the news that there is a new animated version of the live action version of the animated version of Beauty and the Beast is on the way.
The live action version of the animated version of Beauty and the Beast took a staggering $1.2billion at the box office and is one of Disney’s biggest hits since the animated version of Beauty and the Beast came out.
“Okay, so Beauty is a big hit. Colossal. How do you follow it up?” said a Disney insider.
“Our first thought was, we love Beauty, but it’s very 2017. How ‘bout we remake it for 2018? You know, have Ed Sheeran play the girl and the kids from Stranger things standing on each other’s shoulders playing the beast. You know, really bring it right up to date.”
“But the kids from Stranger Things were doing Stranger Things and Ed, and we love Ed, but he didn’t have the acting chops to pull off a feisty medieval teenage girl.”
“Then we thought about doing a black and white version in French, but who’s going to watch that, right?”
Happily, it didn’t take long for someone to come up with the perfect idea.
“Yeah, it was Larry. We were kicking round ideas and Larry just went ‘Hey, everyone loves the live action version of the animated version of Beauty, right?’ We went ‘right,’ and he goes ‘so we do an animated version of the live action version of the animated version of Beauty,’ they’ll eat it up’”
“Boom. Genius. But that’s Larry for you.”
It is expected that if the animated version of the live action version of the animated version of Beauty and the Beast is the hit that is expected, it will be followed swiftly by a live action version of the animated version of the live action version of the animated version of Beauty and the Beast.
