There was further embarrassment for producers of Game Of Thrones as eagle-eyed fans spotted a hyper-evolved cloud of human consciousness from the future floating behind Cersei Lannister in a Casterly Rock scene in the most recent episode.
“It’s pretty disappointing that something with as much money behind it as Game of Thrones can’t even get simple continuity right,” said Dick Cheney, former US Vice-president and Game of Thrones fan-club chairman.
“This is a show that is based in medieval fantasy, you know? You expect to see old fashioned carts and horses and swords and everything.
“So, when there’s a hyper-evolved cloud of human consciousness from the future floating about in the background really takes you out of the moment.
Red-faced showrunner David Benioff apologised.
“Man, how did we miss a hyper-evolved cloud of human consciousness from the future,” he chuckled.
“I mean, a Starbucks cup. Okay, I get that we can miss that. But, you’d have thought we’d have caught something as anachronistic as a hyper-evolved cloud of human consciousness from the future.
“I can only apologise, and promise that it won’t happen again.
“In fact, I personally spotted an experimental stealth aircraft in the background of the Casterly Rock battle next episode, so we’ve cut that. I think we’ll be fine.”
Benioff also speculated as to what the hyper-evolved cloud of human consciousness from the future would have been doing on the set.
“Trying to see boobs, I guess. Happens more than you’d think.”
