HBO’s newly created barrel-scraping department has announced that they are considering a remake of the classic ferry soap opera Triangle.
A BBC production from 1981, Triangle is fondly remembered for a freezing-looking Kate O’Mara sunbathing on a commercial ferry just outside Gothenburg.
“Yeah, we think there could be something in this,” explained producer Stewart James.
“I mean, you got the boat, you got the people, you got the freezing weather. Interesting dynamics.
“Obviously, we’d throw in a lot more nudity and people killing each other, because if you’re going to do a show set in the North Sea, then you’ve got to have people kill each other and get naked or why the hell is anyone going to watch it?”
Mr James went on to give an overview of what a first episode could look like.
“Well, you know, cool computer graphic titles, with some side-boob, then we open on a couple having explicit sex before someone comes in and kills the pair of them. It’s then revealed that the murderer is a naked woman and so the captain comes up with a great plan to capture the murderer by leaving all the windows open and letting the cold North Sea air in until the murderer gets so cold she has to turn herself in.
“Then the Captain has explicit sex with a lady.”
Mr James also revealed that HBO’s barrel-scraping department are looking at a reboot of Albion Market, but with dragons, and Eldorado, but with a with a couple cooking crack in their chalet.
