Godfather Reboot Sees Cyborg Michael Corleone Return to Control Crime in Future New York City

Further details of the proposed Godfather sequel/reboot have been revealed, including the surprising news that it will be set in the future and that Michael Corleone will somehow be returning from the dead.

“You can’t have The Godfather without Michael. You just can’t,” explained producer Stewart James.

“So, that was the first problem we had. But it wasn’t insurmountable. You can’t bring someone back from the dead. At least, right now you can’t, but in the future? I think most sensible people would say that in the future, you’ll be able to get a dead person, bring them back to life, and turn him into a cyborg.

“So that’s what we’ve done with Michael.”

James explained that the effect has apparently made the character even more threatening.

“In the original stories, Michael was icily frightening, with his cold nature and psychopathic tendencies. Now, imagine that but in cyborg form? A Michael that has the strength of ten men, has a powerful computer for a brain, and can even fire lasers from his eyes.

“Cyborg Michael Corleone is a terrifying prospect and it’s not hard to imagine that, after his resurrection, he would quickly become the most powerful crime boss in future New York.”

However, it being future New York, Michael will not as easier time of it as he did in the fifties and sixties.

“Well, we know that in the future we’ll have Robocops, but there’ll also be threats from other crime gangs. There’ll likely be aliens, mutants, and hyper-evolved floating criminal consciousnesses, so life won’t be easy for future Michael.”

The Godfather: Future Cyborg of Crime will begin filming in the coming months and will be released as a new prestige television event that will be cancelled after a single season.
