It seems producers of popular boobs-and-wizards show Game of Thrones have relented to fan pressure and are rewriting the controversial final season.
Following fan disappointment, a petition was launched to have the final season completely rewritten. Producers have now acquiesced to the demands and have decided to rewrite the final season as a feelgood, romantic comedy.
“Yeah, so, we really took that petition to heart. We were disappointed as hell fans didn’t enjoy that final season,” explained showrunner DB Weiss.
“So, we’re rewriting it. I’m fairly sure that the petition said they wanted a feelgood, romantic comedy. If it didn’t say that, then it was certainly implied. So that’s what we’ve done.”
He went on to outline the plot of the new final season.
“We start by having Jon share a flat with Sam, who becomes a slobby, lazy stoner character but, you know, with a heart of gold, naturally.
“Daenerys wants Jon to live up to his responsibilities and help defeat the Night King and, when he doesn’t turn up for a battle because he’d been up late with Sam drinking and playing video games, she dumps him.
“The rest of the series is him trying to win her back with flowers and dates but nothing works because Cersei is keeping them apart by looking out of the window a lot.”
Weiss refuses to give anything more plot away but suffice to say the series ends with a heartwarming wedding and everyone lives happily after.
Just like the petition demanded.
