War of the Worlds

Tom Cruise is a horrible father. He nearly decapitates his eldest child with a baseball and goes to bed, then aliens invade the earth. Perfect excuse not to have the kids for the weekend, he sets off to take them back to their mother’s house. Loses car. Loses eldest kid. Watches as other people defeat aliens. Drops other kid off. Ends there, but presumably, Tom then goes off to get drunk.
