The Shawshank Redemption

Tim Robbins goes to prison and doesn’t fancy it, so builds a big tunnel in the wall. No one notices for twenty years because they’re only looking for tunnels in the ground. Morgan Freeman follows Tim around narrating. Various other prisoners die, are born, develop super powers, learn how to play bass. Then Tim and Red escape through the tunnel to live happily ever after on a rubbish boat.

Red, played by Morgan Freeman in the film, is, in the book, a red setter dog.
