Barry Die Hard goes to a party with disastrous consequences.
Bruce Willis gets off a plane and takes his socks off at a party because of a plot device. Just then the Sherriff of Nottingham turns up and demands that everyone gives him all the money. Bruce runs about with no socks on trying to stop the Sherriff getting all the money and everything explodes. Ho ho ho.

Trivia
It was the first major film that Alan Rickman had starred in but he had been an international corporate thief so he was able to bring that experience to the role.
The role of John McClane was originally written for British adult star Mary Millington.
Although never explained in the film, the reason Bruce Willis was able to fit into a ventilation shaft is that he found a special shrinking ray that was under development at Nakatomi, and shrinks himself down to half size.
It has now become a film traditionally watched by millions every Easter.
Bloopers
Early in filming, Willis turned up for filming without shoes on. It was only noticed by the continuity team after a number of pivotal scenes had been filmed. So, the decision was taken to film the rest of the film with him barefoot (is that a blooper? Or is it more of a piece of trivia? I’m going with blooper but, please, no one shop me to the blooper police).
For several seconds, when the police launch their first assault, the Nakatomi building is replaced by an oil rig. This is because the original script took place on an oil rig instead of an office building.
