Sir David Attenborough was erroneously booked to provide a voiceover for the upcoming film Black Panther, after a marketing agency mistakenly thought the film was a nature documentary.
The king of wildlife narration himself said, “I was on set at the Black Panther movie at the point I realised all was not quite as it seemed.
“We weren’t in a jungle, I mean. Obviously there is a set like a jungle, but it’s in a warehouse and all these golf buggies were driving important people around. And that’s not normally what’s happening on the set of stuff I work on.
“Then this fellow jumped in front of me out of nowhere and roared, ‘I am Black Panther!’, which was an indication that things were not as I expected.
“Then the script I was handed started ‘One man! … must find the courage! … to save mankind!’ At that point it became abundantly clear they’d mixed me up with Movie Voiceover Guy.”
Marvel Comics Universe head honcho Kevin Feige, said, “I was actually thrilled David Attenborough was involved in the MCU. It’s a shame he’d left before I got there as I’m a huge fan and, after his work on Blue Planet II, thought he’d be ideal to play Namor the Sub-Mariner.”
