An adaptation of the acclaimed video game Death Stranding is set to bring going for a long boring walk to the big screen.
“I played Death Stranding when it was released and, like so many, I was immediately bored to tears by just going for a long walk,” explained director Stewart James.
“I knew straight away that going for a boring walk shouldn’t be left as the preserve of gamers. I could take that experience of going for a long, boring walk and adapt it for the big screen for a movie.”
The plot of the film is being kept under wraps but it is expected that it will feature a man going for a long, boring walk across some quite nice countryside then having an interminable conversation with someone called Barry DieHardWithAVengeance and then going for a long, boring walk again.
Despite the film only being in the pre-production phase, there is enough confidence in the project for talk of a sequel.
“Oh yes, I’ve a very clear idea of the sequel,” said Stewart.
“It would feature a man going for a long boring walk, but doing it in slightly different scenery.”
