Daniel Day-Lewis makes long-awaited acting return in Humpers 3: Good Time Humpin’

Daniel Day-Lewis has made his long-awaited return to acting with the third film in the popular Humpers franchise.

The films feature the Humpton Town baseball team, who are less interested in scoring points and more interested in scoring with the ladies.

The bawdy sex-comedies have been a huge hit with stupid people and the legendary My Left Foot actor has made no secret of his admiration for the films.

“Yes, they’re very, very good indeed,” he explained in an interview in Sight and Sound.

“I particularly enjoyed the scene in Humpers 2: Let’s Get Humpin’ where Buttocks, the team goat, managed to get into the barn where Cory, the star hitter, was having sex with a sexy lady. Buttocks is chasing Cory and the naked lady around the field and the film speeds up making everything look like it’s going really fast. Very funny.”

Day-Lewis plays Dollop, a veteran professional ball-player who returns to the game to help the Humpers get out of a mid-season slump.

“It is an interesting role. Dollop’s aging conflicts with his sporting ambitions which makes for some interesting intellectual dilemmas. I also got to see some sexy ladies take their tops off.”

It seems likely that Humpers 3: Good Time Humpin’ will be another big hit but whether or not Day-Lewis will return for the next film Humpers 4: Humpin’ America is still unknown.
