A new remake of 2017’s Crash Bandicoot remake has been announced.
The original Crash Bandicoot remake was a surprise hit two years ago, and producer Activision clearly feel that a new version, updated for 2023, could be a real hit.
“I think that people have a real nostalgia for the classic gameplay of 2017,” said Activision executive Jeremy Bastard.
“So, a remake of the Crash Bandicoot remake is going be be hugely popular.”
Mr Bastard had a bold vision of what the remake would look like.
“Well, essentially, we’re thinking that it’s the same game but with the word ‘remake’ on the box and a slightly higher price tag.
“We’ll also say that the music’s been remastered as well, because no one really understands what that means.”
There will also be a Crash Bandicoot remake remake deluxe edition which features a code for a downloadable pair of trousers for Crash that are a slightly different shade of blue to the trousers in the original 2017 remake.
It is unknown how much more the deluxe edition will cost, but estimates range from ‘more’ to ‘a lot more.’
It is thought that Activision are also planning a remake of that year’s Spyro remake next year, but they may just abandon that plan to go round to gamers’ houses and just simply steal their money while they’re asleep instead.
