As excitement builds for Jodie Whittaker’s first appearance as the famed timelord, the BBC have dramatically revealed the colour of the new incarnation’s toothbrush as a tease for fans.
It’s green. It’s a green toothbrush.
Fans have reacted with typical restraint and moderation.
“A green toothbrush! I WILL NEVER WATCH DOCTOR WHO AGAIN,” wrote @HardcoreWhovian, determined to make full use of Twitter’s new 280 character limit
“I’ve already thrown my television out of the window, and am in the process of burning my house down so I am never tempted to buy another television, and it’s ALL DR WHO’S FAULT.”
However, other fans welcomed the development.
“Frankly, I think it’s about time the Doctor had a green toothbrush,” wrote @WhosBetter
“It’s 2017. Why shouldn’t the Doctor have a green toothbrush. I mean, she’s an alien with two hearts, so I think it’s fine.”
It is expected that the BBC will feed expectation further next week when they reveal how the new Doctor takes her tea, at which point the internet will explode.
