Cher vs Godzilla vs Kong trailer debuts new addition to franchise

The new Godzilla vs Kong trailer debuted an exciting new addition to the franchise and subsequent new change of name.

The film will now be known as Cher vs Godzilla vs Kong and will feature a terrifying, giant, invincible Cher doing battle with the legendary monsters from the first films.

The trailer begins with a pan across a ruined city, Kong sweeps away a building and Godzilla fires his atomic breath across an abandoned traffic jam.

The camera pulls back to reveal the two titans are facing each other. There is a moment of tension and both Godzilla and Kong flinch, about to do battle when, at deafening volume, the iconic – ‘Do you believe in life after love’ – echoes through the city.

Both Kong and Godzilla clutch their ears as, for a second time, ‘Do you believe in life after love’ rings out.

Moving through the ruins, the camera reveals glimpses of an immaculately made-up face, a daring dress, a wicked yet knowing smile, before finally the new titan fills the screen – giant, glamourous, iconic – it’s Cher, and only she can defeat Kong and Godzilla.

Director Adam Wingard explained a little more about the new titan.

“Cher, as ever, is here to fight on behalf of the human race.

“With Godzilla, Kong and the other titans, you’ve got these elemental forces of nature who are just battling each other and causing death and destruction to everything and everyone.

“The human race needs a champion and so Millie Bobby Brown uses the psychic powers she learnt in Stranger Things to call forth a new titan who will battle against the other titans on behalf of the human race.”

Cher vs Godzilla vs Kong will be released this year and rumours are already spreading about a sequel that will see Cher so injured in the battle with Kong and Godzilla that she turns against humanity, and Millie Bobby Brown forced to call forth new titans in the form of a giant Tina Turner and a giant Stevie Nicks to do battle with Cher.

Keyser Soze revealed to actually have been Peter Beardsley

Usual Suspects fans were shocked to learn that the identity of Keyser Soze was not actually the Kevin Spacey character ‘Verbal’ Kint, but was actually Newcastle and England midfielder Peter Beardsley.

Although Bryan Singer’s 1995 classic seems to indicate that the mythical Keyser Soze and Kint are one and the same, it is never explicitly stated in the story.

“No, I’ve got to be honest, I think the misdirection around Kevin’s character was probably a little too convincing,” said Mr Singer, speaking for the first time about the identity of mythical criminal overlord.

“However, if you follow the clues, you can see that the only logical conclusion is that the identity of Keyser Soze is, in fact, Peter Beardsley.”

“The first time we meet Kobayashi, you can see an England world cup qualifier playing in the background, and whenever Kobayashi refers to ‘his employer’ he nods towards the corner of the room containing the TV showing the soccer match.”

“Whenever we see Chazz’s detective character, he’s drinking from a Newcastle United souvenir mug.”

However, the biggest clue is in the film’s opening scene.

“You know you see the silhouetted figure in the flames in the opening scene, right? We really thought we’d made this too obvious, but as he walks towards Keaton, he’s playing keepie-uppie with a football, just juggling it between his foot and his knee. “

“Just before he shoots Keaton, he lets the ball fly with a powerful volley. A trademark of Peter Beardsley’s playing style.”

“We figured everyone would get it from that.”

Mr Singer also revealed that they nearly went for a completely different identity for Keyser Soze.

“Originally? Keyser Soze was meant to be Mel B from the Spice Girls.”

“But that would have just been stupid.”
