‘Celebrity Cannibalism’ coming to Channel 4 later this year

Channel 4 has announced a brand-new celebrity cooking show called Celebrity Cannibalism.

It promises an exciting new format that will see a variety of celebrities come together to cook and eat each other.

“The problem with celebrity shows is that they can become stale,” said producer Kelly Grace.

“They’re in a jungle, they’re running a hotel, they’re negotiating the release of hostages – they all meld into one and become very similar, so what we’re doing here, with celebrities cooking and eating each other, should give the whole format a really fresh spin.”

The show will feature ten celebrities coming together over the course of ten weeks to learn the basics of butchering human beings in order to best cook and eat the flesh.

Each week, the public phone in and vote for one of the celebrities and the next week that celebrity is slaughtered, cooked and eaten.

At the end of the series, the winner is the celebrity who has eaten all the others.

“I think it’s going to hook a lot of people,” continued Ms Grace.

“I mean, this is going to be packed full of real heart…and not just literally – sorry, just a little cannibalism joke there.

“For example, you could have two of the guests form a real human bond, possibly even a romantic attachment, and then one week one of them has to cook and eat the other.

“It’s watercooler stuff.”

She was, however, keen to make it clear that the show would primarily be a fun family affair.

“Oh sure, look, I can’t give anything away about which celebrities we’ll have on, but imagine if we got Christopher Biggins on. Think of Chris, bless him, trying to butcher and cook a human being.

“I mean, it’s just going to be hilarious, isn’t it?”

Celebrity Cannibalism will launch in Spring next year and will feature a tie-in cookbook called Cooking with Celebrities.
