Bullied student’s inspiring speech about how jocks and nerds should all get on ends in beating

A bullied student who had the courage to stand up at recess and make an inspired and impassioned speech about how jocks and nerds should just all get on together has suffered a severe beating before he could finish.

Stewart James, who had been repeatedly victimised for enjoying chess club and spectacles, made the brave speech after the captain of the football team shouted ‘glasses chess butt guy’ at him, making his fellow classmates laugh.

“Man, what was he thinking,” said fellow chess club member John Slater.

“You can’t just be standing up making a speech like that, you’re always going to get your ass kicked.

“I mean, what did he think? That the whole schoolyard was going to fall quiet as people listened to his impassioned plea for understanding, kindness and decency at school.

“And, what? That when he finished there would be a hushed atmosphere of awe at his words before a solitary clap slowly turned into gales of enthusiastic applause and jocks and nerds came together and pledged to understand each other during this difficult time in their lives.

“Then finally, the Principle would be so moved he would give everyone the rest of the day off and from nowhere someone would magically produce speakers playing loud rock and roll music and everyone would dance and party together.

Slater shook his head incredulously.

“What planet was he on? I just hope they can get the chess piece from out his ass without surgery.”

The incident took place just a week after a sensitive boy from the poorer end of town finally plucked up courage to ask the richest, prettiest girl in school to prom resulting in him facing a humiliating rejection and threat of very real violence from her boyfriend.
