Ambitious crossover 4 Weddings, 3 Billboards, 2 Towers and a funeral, is now in development.

The project, a fantasy harrowing romantic comedy drama, is currently finding it’s cast, but Dominic Cooper is confirmed to play an upper-class hobbit who bumps into his exes at the wedding of an elf who’s just erected some billboards outside town to criticise the local police.

“It’s ambitious, but we like ambitious,” said producer Francis Grant.

“The whole thing is set in a town in Rohan, Middle Earth and features a series of weddings and one tragic funeral that take place in a town dominated by three billboards criticising local police under the growing threat of invasion from Saruman’s army of Uruk-Hai.

“Without giving too much away, the upper-class hobbit and the elf who erected the billboards battle the Uruk-Hai at Helm’s Deep and then go to a funeral where the hobbit is forced to examine his love-life.”

The project, whilst ambitious, is scaled back from the original idea 4 Weddings, 3 Billboards, 2 Towers and One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest at a funeral, in which the upper-class hobbit would fight a battle against authority in a mental institution, whilst going to a series of weddings in a town dominated by billboards criticising the local police whilst under the growing threat of invasion from Saruman’s army of Uruk-Hai.

“No,” confirmed Ms Grant.

“That would just be silly.”
