Director Zach Snyder continues to hold the film world in a state of concern and fear with his ongoing threat to release an extended cut of his Rebel Moon film.
In a bizarre and rambling online speech given from what appeared to be an undersea lair, he cackled wildly and shrieked “I’ll do it, you know. I’ll do it. I’ll release an extended cut of Rebel Moon to show you all.”
The first suggestion of an extended cut of Rebel Moon came last winter, after the original was released onto Netflix. When the seven people who’d managed to stay awake until the end of the film complained that it was five minutes of plot stretched into two hours of shouting, Snyder suggested that the ‘real’ cut would be his extended version that features ‘boobs, swearing, and people getting all chopped up.’
Since then, the director has made regular promises to inflict a longer version of Rebel Moon on unsuspecting film fans culminating in this most recent threat.
“You. You people. You say that my Rebel Moon is just a boring version of Star Wars that’s less fun than a YouTube introduction to actuarial insurance concepts. Well then, I’ll release a longer version then. That will show you all,” sneers Snyder.
Film fans have been urged to stand strong and not give in as that could only lead to Snyder being encouraged to release extended versions of Batman vs Superman, Sucker Punch and Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole.
