Quentin Tarantinto is no stranger to bold casting decisions, having reignited the careers of Pamela Greer, John Travolta, and David Carradine, however the rumoured choice for a lead in his new film is his wildest choice yet – cuddly British seventies comic Eddie Large.
Although the new film is currently unnamed, it is understood that the Pulp Fiction director is planning to explore the period around the Sharon Tate murders. There is no indication of exactly who Eddie Large would be cast as, but a foul-mouthed low-level hood who reads comic books seems likely.
“Yeah man, I frickin’ love those old seventies Little and Large shows,” said Quentin.
“Syd trying to play it cool and Eddie slaying you with a one-liner, and some sexy ladies in bikinis. Man, that was great.”
“I know the guy isn’t really working so much, but we hope he can come out of retirement for the new picture. We got Brad Pitt on-board And Leo D.”
“Eddie Large could really add some serious star power to that line-up right there.”
Curiously, this is not the first time the acclaimed director has turned to Little and Large to star in his films.
“No, we came damn close to securing Syd Little for the David Carradine role in Kill Bill, but he was committed to panto and didn’t want to let anyone down.”
“Guy’s a pro.”
