Two new Road House sequels could herald arrival of long-awaited Road House-iverse

The announcement of two separate sequels to the 2024 remake of Road House seems to indicate that the long-awaited Road House-iverse is finally becoming a reality.

“The 2024 remake was very good but it didn’t tie in to the original in any way,” said Stewart James, Professor of Road House at Oxford University.

“This was a disappointment to those of us who had hoped for a unifying Road House-iverse that presented an entire world of Road House rather than just several individual films.”

There has been an expectation of a Road House-iverse ever since the Marvel Cinematic Universe came to prominence.

“Well, it seemed like the obvious thing to do,” continued Professor James.

“Obviously, the Marvel Universe works because there are all these interesting characters who all come together to tell these exciting stories. A Road House-iverse would be perfect for exactly that. A prequel with the early years of the Double Deuce, an adventure with Wade Garrett, then finally Wade Garrett and Dalton from the original film join up with Elwood Dalton from the remake and they all do battle with aliens who want to buy out a Road House and turn it into and inter-galactic resort for rich aliens.

“Then you would go into phase 2 of the Road House-iverse that ultimately turns out to be quite disappointing, and doesn’t really reach the heights of the first phase where everything just clicked brilliantly.”

Excitingly, there are also rumours of an extended Road House-iverse that would see a Saturday morning Road House tie-in cartoon, a Road House computer game, some Road House novels and a series of Road House action figures.
