Player discovers branch of WH Smith on remote planet in Starfield

One of the seven players still regularly enjoying Starfield has uploaded a video of her discovery of a branch of WH Smith on one of the most remote planets in the game.

The video shows Kelly Grace landing on the planet Bastion, then walking several miles until she reaches a small collection of buildings. The first of which is marked by the famous bright blue sign of WH Smith.

She looks in the window, seeing the new book by Richard Osman, some discounted calendars, and a promotion for half-price box folders. She then enters to what appears to be a fully functional WH Smith with several bored teenagers on the tills. An enormous magazine section with some bus magazines that have never been sold. The are accurate recreations of all manner of greetings cards, stationary, a small DVD section featuring a bargain-priced copy of Finding Neverland, and a massive stack of cookbooks.

“It’s brilliant. An actual WH Smith in Starfield!” She exclaims during commentary on the video.

“It was also really handy, because it meant I could buy some post-it notes, a boost bar, and a small jigsaw puzzle so my guy doesn’t get bored on really long flights.”

The discovery has led to speculation that further exploration may reveal planets containing a Boots the Chemist, or Marks and Spencers, or possibly small precincts featuring JD Sports, Shoe-Zone, River Island, and even a Swarovski Crystal shop, if it’s a particularly well-to-do planet.
