New Super Mario game to focus on plumbing

The latest game in the hit Super Mario series will focus mainly on plumbing, Nintendo has said.

“It is time to take Mario back to his roots,” explained series creator Shigeru Miyamoto.

“I know everyone has enjoyed Mario exploring exciting, magical worlds full of imagination and wonder, but it is time to get back to Mario’s true calling – plumbing.”

Miyamoto went on to give an overview of the epic quest at the heart of the new Super Mario game.

“Mario starts as a humble apprentice, carrying toilets, sinks, pipes and other plumbing paraphernalia from the van to the top-floor bathroom on behalf of an older, wiser plumber.

“After several years of this, Mario will have to study for, and pass, his level 3 NVQ in Domestic Plumbing and Heating.”

However, that is just the beginning of the quest.

“That his correct,” said Miyamoto.

“From that point, it’s an open world adventure in which Mario drives about in his van fixing bigger and bigger sink leaks and boiler malfunctions until he is responsible for the plumbing, heating and electric shower units of an entire town.”

It is understood that there will also be a variety of special upgrades for Mario to learn such as shaking his head whilst sucking air through his teeth and convincing clients that a second-hand part is actually brand new.

Super Mario Home Plumbing will be available for next Christmas followed by a dlc pack the next summer entitled Wastage and Sewage.
