How to unlock the Demon Souls ‘Disco Funk Rhythm Spectacular’ secret area

In the years since its release, the Demon Souls remake has gone on to become one of the defining games of the new PS5 generation.

It is also one of the mysterious. Several hidden areas such as the riotously colourful ‘Space Explosion Fandango’ and the enlightening ‘Lecture on the Basic Tenets of Buddhism’ are now well known, but there are many other areas that still remain hidden, including the fabled ‘Disco Funk Rhythm Spectacular.’

A rhythm game featuring classic disco hits such as Yes Sir, I can Boogie, and Do the Hustle, the ‘Disco Funk Rhythm Spectacular’ area is a fun, if incongruous, addition to Demon Souls’ mysterious Boletaria.

Uncovering it, however, is not easy. This guide will show you how;

• After completing the Boletarian Palace area, return to the staircase just beyond the first fog door.
• Walk up to the ninth step, face the wall, and you should notice a strangely coloured brick.
• Pull the brick and the wall will slide open to reveal another wall with a strangely coloured brick. Pull the brick and that wall will slide open to reveal another wall.
• Repeat this 93 times.
• You will find yourself in a room with 1000 enemies all with the face of Harvey Keitel. Hide behind a column and defeat them one-by-one.
• When they are defeated, face the left wall at a 120-degree angle from the other side and enter the secret passage.
• Find Candi Staton’s Young Hearts Run Free on Spotify and leave the room as it plays into the controller microphone.
• Return to the room and the ‘Disco Funk Rhythm Spectacular’ area should now be available as a selection from the secret second pause menu

Radical director branded ‘revolutionary’ for making film without superhero in it

A radical director has been branded ‘nuts’ for making a film that contains no superhero adventures whatsoever.

Jean-Luc Trufaut, a revolutionary film-maker best known for his epic nine-hour meditation on cheese as a metaphor for human existence, announced that his new film – ‘Two People’ will be about two people, neither of which will have super powers.

Industry insiders were baffled.

“Okay, I get that it’s about two normal people who just have normal lives and don’t have superpowers, but they’ve got to have superpowers, right?” Asked Leonardo Keitel, a film blogger who genuinely believes his opinion is relevant.

It was then reiterated that the film contained no superheroes or superpowers, just two normal people.

“Right, right, I get that. But one of them must have superpowers, right?”

Again, it was made clear that there would be no superpowers.

“Yeah, right. I understand now. So, it’s the other one that has the superpowers.”

After a swift slap to the head was administered, Mr Keitel appeared to accept the premise.

“Right, well I mean this guy is clearly nuts. Making a movie in 2017 that hasn’t got a superhero in it? Who’s going to go and see that? I mean there are, what, six or seven superhero movies coming out every week, so you’ve got to be a really great superhero movie to stand out against them.”

“If you’ve got no superheroes in your film at all, then you’ve got no chance.”

Mr Keitel then identified the biggest problem of all.

“Hang on, it doesn’t make sense. If you’ve got no superheroes in it at all, then who’s going to save the planet from the giant space robots that invade at the end of films?”

“Crazy.”
