A producer of The Angry Birds Movie 2 has laid the blame for its existence firmly at the door of the general public.
As it become apparent that The Angry Birds Movie 2 was a thing that existed, producers began receiving criticism for not making it go away.
However, one has now hit back, claiming that the fault lies with ordinary cinema-goers.
“Hey, it wasn’t me who went to see the first one,” said a producer who asked to remain anonymous for fear his family found out he was party to the Angry Birds films.
“It was everyone else. They all went to the cinema to watch a film about birds being angry with pigs.
“I stayed at home and watched The Crown on Netflix. Claire Foy was tremendous.
“If everyone else had stayed at home and watched The Crown on Netflix, we wouldn’t be where we are today.
“But no, you went to the cinema in droves.
“So now I have to spend my time making a sequel and you have to spend your time going to see it and the whole sorry circle continues to turn.”
Not only did the producer blame the public for The Angry Birds Movie 2, he also issued a terrifying threat.
“If everyone goes and sees this sequel,” he warned, “I’ll have to make The Angry Birds Movie 3.
“I won’t want to, but that will be the position you all put me in.”
Something for everyone to consider.
