Game of Thrones climatic season to see Sauron destroy final horcrux

Game of Thrones final season

Further details are emerging of the hugely anticipated final season of Game of Thrones and if rumours are to be believed, fans could finally get to set Sauron destroy the last horcrux with Thor’s hammer.

The previous season of the fantasy epic saw Roland the gunslinger accompany Merlin to Narnia to kill Peter Pan, thus setting in motion Sauron’s frantic race to destroy the final horcrux before the Never Ending Story ends.

The first brief clips of the series sees the heroic Sauron flying across the snowy vistas of Oz being chased by the genie of the lamp.

Although Game of Thrones is famous for killing off its most popular characters, with Lyra Belaqua meeting a particularly grizzly end at the battle of Wonderland, it seems unlikely that the genie will succeed in killing Sauron so early in the season giving fuel to the rumours of his climatic success in destroying the horcrux.

Another piece of footage that has emerged on the Internet features Merlin perform a resurrection spell on an unseen character. Speculation is rife that the resurrected character is Mary Poppins who was brutally burnt alive in season 2’s unforgettable scouring of Jumanji.

Of course, Game of Thrones is probably best known for its shocking and raunchy sex scenes and fans will be hoping that this new season will have something to match the season 5’s censor-baiting three-way tryst between Pikachu, Dracula, and the Goblin King.

One thing that is certain though, the rumours are certain to continue until April when the final season begins and, for one last time, everyone gets to visit that famous galaxy far, far away, a long, long time ago.
