Final Fast and Furious film to see Dom defeat corrupt God by driving car into sun

The second part of Fast X, and final film in the Fast and Furious franchise will see the protagonist be revealed as a corrupt and declining God.

The finale will come down to a battle between Dom and God in which, ultimately, Dom triumphs by driving his car into the sun.

“Dom gains his strength from family so it follows that, as he has the largest and greatest family in the world, he is the strongest man alive,” explained director Louis Leterrier.

“That is great, but it does mean that finding a villain for Dom has got increasingly difficult, amongst humanity anyway. So, we figured the only way to round off is story with him having to do battle with the Divine.”

God’s status as the big bad behind everything that’s happened to Dom and the gang is set up in the newly announced Luke Hobbs spin-off film that forms a bridge between the two Fast X films.

“Yeah, God has been the force behind Cipher, Reyes, he’s the voice that appeared to be controlling Brixton Lore in Hobbs and Shaw. Once Hobbs discovers that, it’s down to Dom to finally defeat him.”

But how to credibly have Dom defeat God? That was the problem that faced Leterrier.

“We actually had a bunch of biblical scholars work through this in the Vatican library and what they discovered is that, in the unlikely event that mankind went to war with God, we could defeat him by blowing up the sun.

“So, Dom drives his car into the sun, the chain reaction causes the sun to explode and Dom finally wins and gets to live out the rest of his days on his farm with his family.”

Leterrier laughs when pressed on whether this is really the last we’ll see of Dom and the gang.

“That’s the plan. I mean, Dom’s defeated God. What more is there for him to do…unless, of course, God teams up with the Devil for revenge?”
