In the future, rich people wear all mad clothes, and poor people live in 19^th Century Pennsylvania. To keep the poor people oppressed, the rich people make them hunt and kill each other for entertainment, and the winner gets a nice house. In a daring attempt to rebel against the rich people, Jennifer Lawrence hunts and kills all the other poor people and wins her nice house. That’ll show ‘em, Jen.

Trivia

Despite being called the Hunger Games, the cast and crew were actually well fed on the shoot. If they weren’t then it would have contravened a number of workplace health and safety rules.

Jennifer Laurence was 46 at the time of filming, and the de-aging effects are still considered the most successful yet tried.

One of the contestants who is eliminated early is played by none other than silent-era legend Clara Bow!
