Challengers Sequel Sees Gang Take On World Of Football

Actual Luca Guadagnino announcing Challengers 2

Challengers, one of the year’s most talked about movies, is getting a sequel and, having conquered the world of tennis, this new film will see the gang take on the sport of football.

“For Challengers 2, it would be easy to continue on in the world of tennis and perhaps we see the Art and Patrick at Wimbledon, and Tashi eating strawberries and cream and being very sexy to help them both win Wimbledon,” explained director Luca Guadagnino.

“But, I’m a filmmaker who likes to challenge and to be challenged. So, instead of just trawling over the same ground, for the Challengers sequel, we will explore the world of football.”

Although there is very little known about the plot of the sequel, initial rumours suggest that it will take place at the British club of Coventry City. Art and Patrick have both joined the club after getting a bit bored of tennis, but they are stunned to find out that Tashi is in the throes of a sexy affair with manager Mark Robins.

“Like with my first film, Challengers 2 will explore relationships and the lives of sexy people having sex through the backdrop of sport. Tennis added that glamorous backdrop in the first film, as life at Mark Robins’ Coventry City will do here.”

It is understood that this new sequel will form the start of a Challengers franchise, with Challengers 3 being set in the world of snooker, Challengers 4 at a village crown green bowls club and Challengers 5 at a professional conkering tournament.
