After some disappointing years, Marvel has hit back against the naysayers with a Captain America trailer that featured a eye-watering amount of nudity.
From the new Captain America costume that features neither trousers nor pants to Liv Tyler’s Betty Ross working out of a nudist colony, Marvel appears to be seeking to retake its box-office crown with acres of bare flesh.
“I think it’s true to say we’d lost our way with Quantumania,” explained Marcel boss Kevin Feige.
“The only thing it had going for it was that it wasn’t quite as stupid as Love and Thunder.
“So, we needed to really think about what could get people interested in Marvel movies again.”
If rumours are to be believed, no suggestion was off the table. Threatening people with violence if they didn’t watch new films, setting all new films in the Star Wars universe, asking the Pope to say that God was really into Iron Man.
“Well, I’m not commenting on that, but the ideas did get pretty wild,” continued Kevin.
“Ultimately though, we recognised that most film fans are happy if they get to see lots of boobs and bums, so that’s what we’ve done.
“This is the nakedest film we’ve ever made. Harrison Ford’s first ass shot. A six minute naked fight scene and a climax on a topless beach. It’s hot as can be.”
Captain America: Hot, Wet and Wild is due in 2025 and will be followed closely by The Fantastic Four-Way later in the year.
