New DLC for Diablo IV has been confirmed. A Cushion of Comfiness will follow Vessel of Hatred and will lead the Diablo story into a much comfier area.
The new expansion picks up just after the defeat of the Harbinger of Hatred at the end of the previous expansion, after such an epic battle, the player’s character just wants to have a nice comfy sit down and so begins a quest to find a decent cushion.
They travel first to the main hub town of Kyovashad, there a new vendor that sells cushions will have appeared but will, as yet, be unavailable to the player. A quest to collect some material and goose-feather stuffing introduces the new cushion gameplay mechanic and, on completion, allows players to interact with the cushion vendor and then have a nice sit-down.
The quest moves on to gather a nice cup of tea, some biscuits and an interesting magazine that all should enhance the nice sit-down.
Once the player has everything available to enjoy the nice sit-down then the quest for the Cushion of Comfiness can begin in earnest.
“The Cushion of Comfiness is a legendary cushion that has colossal powers of comfiness,” explained game director Stewart James.
“It is infused with ancient heavenly powers that mean even the briefest of nice sit-downs as comfy as any human could ever want.
“So, it’s not going to be easy to get. The player will need to travel to tiny, remote villages to meet cushion artisans and to huge cushion superstores which have the latest cushion technology. It is a truly epic quest that results in the nicest sit-down in the whole of creation.”
Diablo IV: A Cushion of Comfiness will be released later this year and will be followed next year by a continuation of its story in the next DLC Diablo IV: A Duvet of Cosiness.
