The Empire Strikes Back

All the goodies go and hide in Narnia so Luke Skywalker can secretly get off with his sister but Darth Vader uses his darth magic to figure out where they are and sends some impractical military walking machines after them. They all escape and Luke, sad that he’s not allowed to get off with his sister anymore, goes to live in the woods with a magic goblin. Everyone else runs about the galaxy getting into wacky scrapes until Han gets frozen in a big jelly mould and the whole thing stops without ending properly.

Trivia

The title originally referred to the return of industrial action within the Empire. The story then changed and no one updated the title.

Mince fan Harrison Ford insisted on cooking everyone mince for dinner every day for the entirety of the shoot.

The At-At Walker effects were achieved by attaching silver boxes to some dogs and drugging the animals to make them walk slowly.

The effect of Yoda using the Force to lift Luke’s ship was achieved by having a real Jedi Master off-screen using her Force powers to lift the onscreen ship.

Bloopers

The events are supposedly set a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. That is exactly the same time and place as the original Star Wars, so are we to believe they took place at the same time? In the same place?

Quotes
