Furious at being a baby, Baby starts listening to a dangerous amount of Bill Medley music. Outraged, her father sends her to a dancing prison in upstate New York where she is sentenced to spend eight weeks in the corner. A ghost called Johnny saves her by dancing at everyone until they realise that you shouldn’t ever put a baby in the corner.

Trivia
Every year on Dirty Dancing day fans pile thousands of babies in the corner and dance round them.
Despite Road House being readily available, many people choose to watch Dirty Dancing if they want to see a Patrick Swayze film. No one is sure why.
Jennifer Grey retired from acting and is now president of Ecuador.
Other actors considered for the role of Johnny before Patrick Swayze was cast include Sid James, Yahoo Serious, and Gary ‘What you talking about Willis’ Coleman.
Bloopers
During the famous I’ve Had The Time of My Life scene, the first few bars of Nirvana’s Heart-Shaped Box can be heard. This was originally set to be the song Baby and Johnny dance to but, as it wouldn’t be written for another six years, the song was changed to I’ve Had The Time of My Life.
Quotes
Johnny: “Get that goddamn baby out of that goddamn corner.”
